West Linn mansion for ‘high-profile’ celebrity seeking utmost privacy for sale at $2888000

Unofficially, the West Linn mansion for sale is called the “Blazer hideout” since current and former players have roamed the 8,160-square-foot pad, splashed in the infinity pool and practiced on the indoor basketball court with a Portland Trail Blazers-branded floor and scoreboard.

Officially, the stone-faced, French-style house is called Chateau du Chevalier. The “maximalist, modern mansion,” as described in marketing materials, sits on 0.46-gated acres at 2625 Lorinda Lane in West Linn’s Le Chevalier community.

The estate is listed for sale at $2,888,000 by Adam Davis of RE/MAX Select and is shown by appointment only to buyers with proof of means.

Davis’ wealthy clients have enhanced needs for discretion, and nondisclosure agreements require that he stay mum. But he will spill that West Linn, Sherwood and Happy Valley, and secluded spots beyond the Portland area, are preferred by high-profile’ people seeking utmost privacy.

Famous people in need of protection will appreciate that the chateau is invisible from the road; it’s so well hidden that people going to it drive right past, says Davis. “The buyer of this house could be a professional athlete or performing artist — this place is vintage MTV ‘Cribs’,” he adds.

SportsStar Relocation, which specializes in homes with “athlete appeal,” promotes luxury properties for sale close to dining, shopping and, of course, airports. Most places attractive to pro players are outfitted with outdoor paradises: Waterfalls, fire pits, putting greens and plenty of other areas to play.

The West Linn estate has a poolside bar and a court-side mezzanine with a kitchen and bar under a dome ceiling. There are other reasons not to leave; just jet into the executive-style office, home theater or gym.

Owners who entertain can pull out their favorite vintage from the climate-controlled wine library and cater to a crowd using the Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances in the main kitchen or cook al fresco at the barbecue kitchen.

In addition to the luxury owner’s suite, there’s another full suite in the guest wing plus two more bedrooms and three more bathrooms.

It’s the perfect new haven for anyone who wants an all-inclusive, luxury lifestyle compound with “everything they need on site for whatever whim strikes,” says Davis.

Homeowners association dues are $200 a month.
