Virat Kohli Is Back In Action After A Paternity Break

Coming off the landmark tour of Australia, India will start as firm favourites against England. With captain Virat Kohli returning to an already dangerous batting order comprising of Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant and openers Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma, the team boasts of an impregnable aura.

With Ravichandran Ashwin, Ishant Sharma, as well as Hardik Pandya in the list of players available for selection for the first 2 Tests, India undoubtedly hold the upper hand coming into the series. England will be sternly challenged by a resurgent Indian bowling attack, which has very recently showcased in Australia how intimidating it can be, even without their senior and well-established bowlers.

The series looks set to be as entertaining as the recently concluded series Down Under. The 4-match series promises to be one that fans who are starved of International cricket at home for the past one year would be enthusiastically looking forward to.

Virat Kohli returned to lead the national side after the paternity leave which saw him miss 3 Tests in Australia. The Test series will ultimately decide the second finalist for inaugural World Test Championship as New Zealand have already secured their place for the final.
