Olympic gymnast Sunisa Lee will be “a little away from social media” after her medal-winning performance.
The 18-year-old Olympic athlete won the gold medal in the women’s individual overall final at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics earlier this week and the bronze medal on the uneven bars on Sunday (01.08.21).
Despite finishing third in the bar final, Sunisa, who helped Team USA win the silver medal in the team all-round final, admitted that her performance was “sad” because of her specialty. I am.
She told reporters after the final that she said:
“This medal probably means more than a universal gold medal just because the bar is mine. I was a little sad about it to ruin it like this. . “
And she was so focused on “making everyone else happy,” so Sunisa is now planning to take a step back and spend some time away from social media and focusing on herself. ..
She added: “The bar was mine and many people were rooting for me, so I wanted to make everyone else happy.
“I’m probably a little calm, especially near the end, so I’ll focus on what I have to do. I want to do my best and get it done well.
“”[I’m going to] Stay away from social media for a moment. Maybe I’m going to remove Twitter. Instagram isn’t that bad because you don’t really understand what people say [on] Twitter is very easy to see everything. So I would probably have to remove it. “
