Paris Hilton & 9 Other Celebrities You Forgot Appeared On ‘Supernatural’

We welcomed Sam and Dean Winchester for the first time when Supernatural debuted in September 2005. Fifteen years, 15 seasons, and 327 episodes later, Supernatural has accumulated a cult following and become the streaming network’s longest-running series. Not only that, but it also catapulted many of its cast members’ careers, including Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Katie Cassidy, and more.

That said, The CW series has somewhat become a fertile ground for celebrity cameos over the years. Paris Hilton, The Miz, and Lauren Cohen are just a few names of tons of celebrities who’d made their stop on the show. To sum it up, here are the ten best celeb cameos in Supernatural.

10 Paris Hilton

No one could forget the controversial Paris Hilton in Season 5 of Supernatural. In the episode titled “Fallen Idols,” the starlet played a pagan god named Leshi. It wasn’t her TV debut, though, as she had done previous work in the past. She co-starred Jared Padalecki in the horror film House of Wax back in 2005, so it’s not strange at all to see her in Supernatural.

“I give her a lot of credit for being a hell of a good sport,” Eric Kripke, the showrunner, said about her cameo. “The fact that she was game to play the part speaks volumes about her sense of humor.”

9 The Miz

Just like The Rock, there are plenty of cases of WWE wrestlers trying their hands on acting. This time, it’s Michael ‘The Miz’ Mizanin who portrayed a wrestler named Shawn Harley in the 15th episode of Season 11, “Beyond the Mat.” As of this writing, the wrestling star has been keeping himself busy with the new season of his reality show, Miz & Mrs, on the USA Network.

8 Robert Englund

Robert Englund is a horror legend who’s best known for portraying the infamous serial killer Freddy Krueger on A Nightmare On Elm Street. That’s what made his Supernatural cameo very special for many horror fans. Instead of playing any scary-looking character, the Saturn Award-nominated actor rather portrayed a black-market surgeon called Dr. Robert.

7 Lauren Cohan

You may know her as Maggie Greene from The Walking Dead, but in Season 3 of Supernatural, Lauren Cohan transformed herself into a con-artist named Bela for six episodes. In addition to that, Cohan also portrayed rapper Tupac Shakur’s first manager, Leila Steinberg, in the 2017 biopic All Eyez On Me.

6 Sterling K. Brown

You’ve seen him in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, This Is Us, Black Panther, and Waves. But before that, Sterling K. Brown was Gordon Walker in four episodes of Supernatural. He was a vampire hunter from Season 2 until Season 3 before Sam… spoiler alert… kills him and beheads him brutally with razor wire.

5 Cory Monteith

Before making his big break as Finn Hudson in Glee from 2009 until 2013, Cory Monteith made several cameos in Killer Instinct, Smallville, Kyle XY, and Supernatural. In the latter series, he portrays Gary, a wendigo victim, from Season 1 episode “Wendigo.” Unfortunately, after a series of personal struggles with substance abuse, Monteith passed away from intoxication in his Vancouver hotel room in 2013.

4 Linda Blair

Another horror movie legend, Linda Blair joined the star-studded cast for Season 2’s seventh episode, “The Usual Suspects.” The Exorcist star took the role of Detective Diana Ballard and helped the Winchesters in 2006. Throughout the episode, the cast just couldn’t stop making Exorcist references. Now, the actress seems to be enjoying some time away from the Hollywood spotlight.

3 Amy Acker

If you know her as Winifred Burkle from Angel, you wouldn’t be surprised to find Amy Acker’s cameo as Andrea Barr in the episode “Dead in the Water” from Season 1. Career-wise, Acker also co-starred Stephen Moyer in the superhero drama The Gifted, as a mother who often juggles between her personal life dealing with teenage children and her job as a nurse.

2 Barry Bostwick

Tony Award-winning theater player Barry Bostwick joined the cast as The Amazing Jay in the episode “Criss Angel is a Douchebag” in Season 4. His character is a magician and a con-man who lost his secret touch. Later on, Charlie taught him proper magic. Professionally, his vast experience in the TV industry started way back in the 1970s when he portrayed Ted Machlin in an episode of Charlie’s Angels

1 Candice King

Before she became known as Caroline Forbes in The Vampire Diaries, Candice King was Amanda Heckerling for the episode “After School Special” of Supernatural. She’d become the second cast member of Vampire Diaries to join the show. Now, she’s may be getting ready to reprise her role in The Vampire Diaries spin-off, Legacies, which has just been renewed for the fourth season.

In an interview with Tommy DiDario on Instagram, Candice was asked if she would be interested in reprising her role in Season 4 of Legacies. Her response, “Yes… I always just say yes. And obviously, COVID changed things and the way that things were filming, so those invitations might even be a little delayed, you know. But, uh, yes. Absolutely. Absolutely.”
