Dancing on Ice eliminates second celebrity contestant – Digital Spy

In its third week, Dancing on Ice has eliminated TV presenter Ria Hebden, the second celebrity contestant to leave the show.

Following tonight’s (Sunday 30 January) skate off, which saw former S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens and her partner Brendyn Hatfield compete against Ria and her professional partner Łukasz Różycki, the judges chose to save the former.

This was the second time that Ria and Łukasz were in the skate-off, having competed against Ben Foden and his professional partner Robin Johnstone last week.

Ben and Robin were the first couple to leave the show after performing their final skate to ‘Wonderful Tonight’ by Eric Clapton.

Ria and Łukasz now follow in their footsteps after their final skate failed to impress the judges the second time around.

Ria and Łukasz performed to ‘Into The Unknown’ from Frozen 2 for their Movie Week routine and then performed to ‘Me!’ by Taylor Swift feat. Brendan Urie for the final skate.

Their skate-off competitors Rachel and Brendan performed to Lady A’s ‘Need You Now’ as their final skate, after performing a routine to ‘Lady Marmalade’ from Moulin Rouge for Movie Week.

The judges said they were torn but ultimately felt like Rachel and Brendyn had performed the better skate.

S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens and her partner Brendyn Hatfield made their return to the show tonight after they were forced to pull out of last week’s live show due to Rachel’s fractured wrist injury.

However, the show was still one couple short as Olympian athlete Kye Whyte had to miss the show after he sustained a sprained knee during rehearsals earlier in the week.

The remaining 10 couples, assuming no more injuries, will be returning to the show next week to tackle ‘iconic dance styles’ according to host Phillip Schofield.

Dancing on Ice airs on ITV every Sunday night at 6:30pm.
