Reports have emerged in the wake on the incident claiming the 45-year-old has suffered “multiple leg injuries” as a result of the accident and is currently undergoing surgery in a local California hospital.

Upon hearing the shocking news, the golf community rallied behind Woods, sending him countless messages of support.

Fellow golfer and long-time friend of Woods Justin Thomas gave an emotional interview with an Atlanta TV station shortly after the news broke.

“I’m sick to my stomach,” he said.

“It hurts to see one of my closest friends, you know, gets in an accident and I just hope he’s alright.

“Just worried for his kids. I’m sure they’re struggling.”

Other golf pros flocked to social media to send messages of support.
