Bride Invites Elon Musk, Adam Sandler, Other Celebrities To Wedding – Newsweek

A soon-to-be bride received extra wedding invitations, so she sent them out to companies and celebrities, garnering a lot of attention and delight from the Internet.

The TikTok, captioned, “Who do you think will respond? #tiktok #fyp #celebrityweddinginvitations #weddinginvitations #wedding #invitingcelebrities #schickasks #viral,” has been viewed 712,000 times and liked 39,000 times since it was shared on March 10.

Inviting companies and celebrities to your nuptials isn’t new. In fact, The Knot, a popular marketplace catered to weddings, even features a how-to on sending out invites to celebrities. Sometimes a celebrity will respond, such as in the case of sending an invite to the White House, in which a generic card signed by the President and First Lady is often received back.

The 35-second clip, posted by TikToker @kayla_abbott2, showed a number of envelopes on her lap. “When you accidentally get sent 50 extra invitations to your wedding… You mail them to celebrities and companies,” the screen read as the creator skimmed through her envelopes, revealing who they were addressed to as music played.

A number of celebrities were highlighted with an invite, including Mickey Mouse, Dwayne Johnson, Chip and Joanna Gaines, Elon Musk, Adam Sandler, Kevin Hart, Tim Allen, Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, and John Cena. Companies received invites too, including Yeti, Under Armour, Lowes, Nike, Starbucks, Olive Garden, Tito’s, Coca-Cola, and Nascar.

In a follow-up video, @kayla_abbott2 put the invitations to the companies and celebrities in the mail. She got in her car and drove to the post office, dropping off the invites. Along the way she revealed, “All of the addresses are public P.O. boxes or company addresses that can be found on Google.”

Over 500 comments came in over the TikToker’s video showcasing her wedding invites, and people are loving the idea. “The fact that both Olive Garden and Tito’s are in there… Same,” a TikToker said.

Many people wanted updates on whether or not the bride had heard back from anyone. “I totally want to know if anyone responded and if they gave/sent you a gift,” a TikToker wrote. The creator replied back saying: “Still waiting to hear back, but I will definitely update as soon/if I receive anything back.”

A lot of viewers thought it was a good idea. “So cool, someone will surely respond Lol,” a TikToker chimed in.

One viewer had some regrets after watching the clip. “Wish I would have thought of that for [my] wedding,” they admitted. The creator again replied, revealing she “only did it because we had 50 extras.”

Others have done the same thing and experienced success. “I did that when I got married and received a ton of personalized autographed pictures,” a viewer weighed in.

While another TikToker has their “hopes” set on Adam Sandler. “He is such a kind person that I’m pretty sure he’ll be responding soon or may be attending,” they said.

A lot of people appreciated the bride’s effort. “That’s good!” a viewer expressed. “Because you could possibly get a reply! I’m deffo doing this for my wedding someday. Just for the laughs.”
