Angelina Jolie visits children at school in Lviv, Ukraine | Marca

It has been a little more than two months since the Russian army began to invade Ukrainian territory and since then only destruction and death reign in most of the areas that have fallen into the hands of the soldiers commanded by Vladimir Putin.

From abroad there have been innumerable expressions of support for the Ukrainian population, as well as financial aid so that they can acquire basic products to be able to move forward.

Lightning visit

This weekend, it was reported that actress Angelina Jolie, who is also a special envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, visited the children of a medical institution and a boarding school in the city of Lviv, Ukraine.

On her first stop, Brad Pit’s ex-wife met with the children who suffered from the Russian army’s missile attack on the Kramatorsk train station.

After seeing the situation in which they live and listening to some of the children’s testimonies, Jolie acknowledged that she was moved by the horror of the aftermath of the war on the little ones.

One little girl even asked to speak with the actress in private.

Moved by the testimonies

Afterwards, Angelina visited a boarding school where she spoke with the students and after taking some pictures with them, she promised to return.

Another significant fact was that the Hollywood star took a few minutes to talk and thank the volunteers who provide medical and psychological assistance at the main railroad station in Lviv.

Regarding her sudden visit, Joung-ah Ghedini-William, head of UNHCR Global Communications, clarified that Angelina Jolie’s presence was in a personal capacity and not on behalf of any organization.

It is noteworthy that in a video shared on social networks, the actress can be seen running away from a building while the sound of anti-aircraft sirens warning of a possible attack or bombing can be heard.
